My Family Vacation To Grand Xcaret By Occidental, Riviera Maya Mexico in May 2009. This resort is about 45 minutes south of Cancun, Mexico just below Playa Del Camen. This resort sits adjacent to Xcaret Ecological Park a very popular excursion to vacationers in the region. While on vacation we enjoyed several excursions including the Ecological Park with Underground Rivers, Sea trek, Animals and more.

We rode 4 wheelers on the beach as well as horse back riding and visited the Mayan Ruins of Tulum but my favorite and best experience while on vacation was snorkeling in Akumel which was a 20 minute ride from our resort towards Tulum, I found the snorkeling to be the best I have ever done while swimming right off the beach only 120 feet off shore I was surrounded by several large Sea Turtles feeding on grass after enjoying the turtles we swam a bit further to see Sting Rays, Schools of Fish, Barracuda and a single Eagle Ray to round out my awesome snorkeling adventure.
